Objective In Life

What is our objective in life?

Live a comfortable life?
Be rich like the world implies?
Be a better person?

Different people have different objective in their lives. But is the objective what they really want to achieve?

For example, Mr.A is doing his SPM education.

Case 1: If he is an Ace student throughout his life, he will probably
aim for the best, a string of As.

Case 2: If he is a mediocre student throughout his life, he will probably wish that he will
at least pass.

Case 3: If he is a mediocre student that likes to give excuses, he probably will say :

"Aiya, SPM only mar...UNI cert more makan-harum la...."

Or any statement that can
disguise his failure and telling people that he is aiming for a higher and MORE IMPORTANT GOAL.

Which he probably will never succeed.

For people like Case 1, is their success in whatever they do is due to pure genius?

Maybe, maybe not.

No one seems to appreciate the process of someone becoming successful, they don't know what a nobody had to gone through before becoming a somebody.

There are cases of pure luck and pure god-given talents, but they are 1 in a million.

Yet, majority of the people will think "Aiya, I am born as a normal people, so I do what normal people do la, easy mah."

A doctor doens't born with a stethoscope attached to his head when he was a baby.

But I bet you will be scared out of your mind if that really happens.

People grow and learn in the process, depending on what direction they are going.

How the person grow and what he learned will decide his future.

But some, not some, almost all of us, are taught to be moderate instead of being greedy. This means we should aim for what we are able to achieve instead of setting a higher goal, basically meaning we should not improve.

This is basically what case 2 is, he remains as a mediocre student for the rest of his school year. Of course there are other theories to explain his situation, like maybe he dislike studying the particular subject he is taking, in other words, lack of interest. But, let us assume that his way of thinking is to be mediocre.

I did a mini-survey, asking friends around me, do you want to be rich?

I get lot of answers.

Majority will be "If can mar good la, who don't want to be rich wor, you think easy ah."
Minorities will be "That is my goal" and "Aiya, so rich for what, normal normal like now also ok mah..."

Then I will ask the people why they say they prefer to be normal rather than to be a rich.

"Very mafan la, need work very hard, not I don't want la, be normal no need think so much"

All of them replied something similar to this. So I did a conclusion.

Everyone have a very high aim in their life, like becoming rich, buy a BMW 7 Series, buy a Mansion and so on. When we have a dream, we will think of a way to achieve it. From books I've read, successful people will find ways and ways to achieve the dream rather than me,us , majority of us, we change our dream.

We change our dream to an easier one.

I did a reflection after I've read a book, it is very true. For example SPM, we aim for 11As at first, after a few months, we aim for lesser As because time is getting short and it goes on. So we can achieve our so-called dreams. Rather than doing harder than before to achieve the goal that is originally set.

Case 3, is people that will not succeed for the rest of their lives. Why?
They failed their SPM, their excuse is SPM cert is no better than UNI cert.
What happens when they do their UNI cert, I bet their excuse will be UNI cert is useless, Economy Crisis, Post-Graduates also unemployed, experience more important.
And the list of excuses goes on.

But we must admit that their brain power is good as they can think of an excuse right on the spot.

Back to the original title, what is our objective in life?
The objective now, is it really the aim you want to achieve before you "streched your legs?"

If you born poor its not your mistake but if you die poor its your mistake
